Naturaleza Interna: A Cinematic Ode to Feminine Power & Caribbean Roots

4 screengrabs from the final commecial video. Talent Models: Gabriella Garcia, Olivia Escobedo, Amalie Rosales, Camely

Fashion, film, and poetry collide.

Naturaleza Interna is one of those projects where the lines between commercial and art blur. Collaborating with Isa Studio and fashion designer Celiany Marte, we created a cinematic fashion film that explored the elements — earth, water, air, fire (sun), and spirit — through movement and design.

My role was to bring this vision to the screen: poetic visuals that felt couture yet grounded in intimacy. Think Chanel meets raw storytelling—soft, empowering, and resonant.

The Isas provided creative direction for their photography campaign and five designs from Celiany’s collection, fresh from her graduation at SCAD. Immediately I saw Caribbean textures and heritage: foliage, freedom, confidence, and strength.

I thought about how deeply Mother Earth provides for us, and how woman is her living reflection. Woman is life. Woman is strength. Not fragile, but unyielding. The force to nurture, to heal, to create, and to endure—carrying a power greater than what the world often admits. That is the essence this film carries.

My creative brief for this project
Concept photos from the Isas Studio

This project was truly one of collaboration and trust. While pre-production laid the foundation—shot lists, location scouting, concept briefs—the magic really happened on set. I used the backdrop from Isa’s photo campaign for the first look (on model Camely), and then expanded into trees, a bridge, and a nearby pond just minutes away. With only four designs making it through, I made sure each model, each element, had its own wide frame—its own avowal.

I had already written the bilingual poem before shooting, and it became my compass. With it, I could shoot with freedom—going off feeling, off passion, off vision—while knowing everything would thread back into the story.

Synopsis | In the rich tapestry of Caribbean culture, we discover a deep resonance with the elements of earth, water, fire, air, and spirit. Drawing from this heritage, Naturaleza Interna celebrates the inherent power of women to embody these elements—rooted, resilient, and interconnected.

The Poem

She is the embodiment of Mother Earth’s nurturing embrace.

Drawing strength from the soil beneath her feet, tall and unyielding.

While in her eyes, lleva el fuego del sol,
Una determinación inalcanzable.

She flows like water, bending but never breaking.
Even tears bear witness to the power of the ocean within—
Una fuerza de mil mareas.

Her words, like whispers on the wind, cargando sabiduría.

En cada paso, she leaves behind a trail of golden courage,
Moving mountains and exhaling inspiration.

This is her.
